First of all thanks for taking time out of your busy day to read my blog. I have had my call for sometime now and i figure its time to share this wonderful thing. I guess i should explain what a call is to all those non-Mormons or those who do not know what it is. A call is a where someone is assigned when they desire to go on a full time mission. Basically its a missionaries home for the next two years if you're a guy and eighteen months if you're a lady. So i will be serving a full time mission for eighteen months. Going on a mission is like a right of passage for us Mormons. So without further or due. Drum roll please........BOOM......BOOM.......BOOM.
"Dear Sister Griffus
You have been hereby called to serve as missionary in the Zambia Lusaka mission. You should report to the South Africa MTC November 26th 2013. You will be prepared to teach the gospel in the English Language."
There you have it Guys and Dolls i am going to Africa! Which is very strange because i really thought i was staying stateside (in america). I really wanted to go to Utah. For those of you who don't know what MTC stands for it is Missionary Training Center. It's where missionaries get some training on sharing the great word. I leave in 21 days and i still feel like i'm only going to Alabama which is probably not a good thing. But i'm terrified and excited, worried. But its going to be an amazing struggle for me in a good way.
