When In Africa

Mwa Choma Bwanji (Good Afternoon How are You?)

Hello My People,

Well this week was African-fantastic! So when in Africa do as the African! so me and another sister named Sister Jones Got some braids put in our hair. Which was done by my companion! She is amazing. It took about two days. So that was nice....Well this week was good. We got our new district leader his name is Elder Doig he was elder Odunga's companion so we like him! Our meeting was nice we talked about Preach My Gospel Chapter Four which is Conversion through the holy ghost. And we talked about how to help our investigators recognize  the spirit. Wed was a normal missionary day! we walked and talked and Contacted. Thursday was just the same as wed. Friday was the exact same and Saturday. I am still very grateful for those days because it means that i got to be a missionary even if we didn't find anyone that was golden. The Sabbath was nice we met with our branch and came up with idea to strengthen it with the help of us missionaries. Our branch is growing so much and i am so proud. There is a quote that Joesph Smith says when the Salt Lake Temple was being built he said "We are not just building the temple, but the temple is Building us." and that is how i feel that we are not just building the church here in Zambia but the church is building us. It is making us stronger, better members. I know that when the saints were building all the temples and not just he salt lake one that they has many hardships and long boring days but in the end they did something wonderful. The have created something that not only helped them but helped generations to come. And i hope that is what i am doing for Zambia that all my work will help the branch become a ward and the district become a stake. So that the church can be strong and one day i know and believe with all my heart that there will be a Temple here in Lusaka. There is a scripture i love that is in Doctrine and Covenants Chapter 65 Verse 33 it reads; "Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation for a great work. And out of small things proceedth that which is great. " I like that scripture because it reminds me that even on these long boring weeks and even if we only have five lessons and everyone cancels that something great will come out of it. And i know that everyone can apply that in their lives. For work and School, Dating etc. All of your had work even if it only had small out comes great things and even greater blessings will come to you. But you have to be doing your part in being faithful unto the lord and his commandments willingly. I love each and every one of you and i hope your week was awesome!
