Hello to all whom may come across this,
Hope this week was super great for all of you. Now is it just me or did this week just seem to fly by so fast.
Well it flew by
fast for us here in Blantyre. That probably has a lot to do with
tomorrow is my birthday so you know kind of when you are excited for
thing they come quick. Today was sweet we are lunch at my flat to
celebrate. The Blantyre sisters are great.
Well this week
we went on exchanges and this time instead of being with sister proctor i
was with sister dlamini. From south Africa. She is just so cute. Truly a
great sister missionary i love her. I learned the importance of
testifying often. And that is something that we all could do. Truly it
helps keep that testimony we have and edifies it as well.
Besides that it was just a normal week in Zingwangwa. It is still as beautiful as ever. Malawi is so blessed.
It was beauty that is beyond the human comprehension. I love my area.
We have a sweet
family i am super excited for. They are going to be baptized i can feel
it. They are so prepared. I know the Lord has big plans for them. They
would be such a good addition to the church.
There will be a picture attached of them and myself.
This month we
will lose four missionaries. Two of them are Senior couples. They are so
great they are the Reynolds. I love them i can't wait to see them when i
come home.
Just briefly i wanted to talk about The Book Of Mormon.
And i want to start by quoting the introduction page.
The
Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible.
It is a record of God’s dealings with ancient inhabitants of the
Americas and contains the fulness of the everlasting gospel.
Something that i love about this paragraph is that is says it contains
the fulness of the everlasting gospel. And what that means is that is
contains everything that we need to know in order to obtain eternal
salvation. It obtains what our father in heaven wants us to know. It
contains what we need to know. My second favorite part of the intro to
the book of mormon is something that the prophet Joesph smith said.
Joesph smith translated the book of mormon he did not write it but he
translated it.
Concerning
this record the Prophet Joseph Smith said: “I told the brethren that
the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the
keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding
by its precepts, than by any other book.”
This is true because like stated in the previous paragraph it contains
the fulness of the everlasting gospel. We can become closer to our
father in heaven by reading simply because it is his word. It speaks of
covenants and ordinances that return us to our father in heaven. Lastly
i just want share the last two paragraphs in the book or mormon.
We
invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in
their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal
Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true. Those who pursue this
course and ask in faith will gain a testimony of its truth and divinity
by the power of the Holy Ghost. (SeeMoroni 10:3–5.) Those
who gain this divine witness from the Holy Spirit will also come to
know by the same power that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world,
that Joseph Smith is His revelator and prophet in these last days, and
that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s
kingdom once again established on the earth, preparatory to the Second
Coming of the Messiah.In these paragraphs it tells us what we must do to know the book of Mormon is true.
And what will happen if we gain a testimony of it. Truly i know these
things to be true. Because i have done them. I have read
and ponderer the message of the book of Mormon and the promise that our prayers will be answered is true. So i challenge all
of you to read the Book Of Mormon! and do as it ask! even if you have
already. We should always strive to edify our testimonies! i love you
all and this is my prayer and testimony in the name of Jesus Christ amen.
